Shaw is constantly looking for innovative ways to deliver projects more efficiently and cost-effectively. Modular Construction has many benefits including reduced schedule and less impact on the environment by decreased waste and carbon emissions. It also allows our teams to reduce weather delays and the number of people on site.
Modular construction significantly reduces time and cost it takes to build in Colorado. Shaw currently provides set and stitch services. In addition, we are partners with modular experts Volumetric Building Companies (VBC), a vertically integrated manufacturing, construction, and innovative group whose focus is the multifamily housing market. By teaming up with VBC, Shaw has the experts in modular construction and the craftsmanship of our self-perform team members.
In 2020, Shaw began their first Modular Construction project β Burlingame Phase III. This project is being built using 230-modular boxes that will be transported from Idaho to Aspen. The Shaw team will set and stitch the units together. Before shipment, the units will have flooring, cabinets, appliances and drywall/paint.
