Independence Pass Residence

The Independence Pass Residence is situated at the edge of a nature preserve in Aspen and has views of an alpine meadow, forests of evergreen and aspen trees, the Roaring Fork River and the Rocky Mountains. This residence is constructed with a Canopy style structure with a roof assembly floating over a glass façade. The custom home features a contemporary interior. Finishes include stone veneer, SS Italian windows, old-growth Douglas fir woodwork, a cantilevered wood and a glass stairway. A second stairway connecting all levels of the house is crafted of a one-inch thick steel plate that is both structure and guardrail, slicing through the vertical space.
