Aspen City Hall

Aspen City Hall is a three-story, 42,550-sf concrete and steel building that serves as the home to multiple municipal offices for the City of Aspen. The building consolidates municipal services in downtown Aspen making services more accessible to the public. There are office spaces for each department, along with public meeting spaces and conference rooms. The project was built over the existing Rio Grande parking garage, which remained open to local businesses throughout construction. The project also included the renovation and incorporation of an existing 5,000-sf office building next door.

Aspen City Hall is completely electric, utilizing the natural spring under the site for geothermal cooling and heating. The building also features strategic access to natural light, including in the entryway with a three-story spiral grand staircase. The project has LEED Gold certification and was built to WELL Building Silver Certification.
