Doerr-Hosier Center - Aspen Institute

Located on the Aspen Meadows site, the Doerr-Hosier Center provides meeting space for world-renowned leaders, interactive conferences, political engagement, and lectures. The building materials used were architectural concrete, composite steel, and precast concrete. The building design included an emphasis on glass, stone floors, courtyards, and a distinctive terrace fireplace. The site features a sandstone wall from famed sculptor Andy Goldsworthy that winds throughout the interior and exterior of the building. The LEED Gold building was constructed using low-impact materials, making the most of natural lighting and a geothermal pool to heat and cool the building.
